“Speak to one another with psalms, hymns, and spiritual songs.  Sing and make music in your heart to the Lord, always giving thanks to God the Father for everything in the name of our Lord Jesus Christ."  Ephesians 5:19-20

Music has always been a big part of my life. I had seven older brothers, and we all sang songs in our home daily and in the church choir.  The Lord gave us this gift of song and music.  It has continued down, even professionally, in the generations to the present time.  It is a beautiful way to praise, worship, and thank the Lord

“Come let us sing joy to the Lord; let us shout aloud to the Rock of our Salvation.  Let us come before Him with thanksgiving and extol Him with music and song.” (Psalm 95:1-2)  A song of David says:  “My heart is steadfast, O God; I will sing and make music with all my soul.  Awake, harp and lyre!  I will awaken the dawn.”
(Psalm 108:1-2)

We can sing the Psalms when we want to praise the Lord.  For example, open the Bible to Psalm 147 through Psalm 150 and sing the words of the Psalm and let the Holy Spirit fill you with the Lord’s presence as you extol Him.  Thanks be to God for his gift of music.  It has been such a beautiful way to praise, worship and thank Him in my life, that I encourage everyone to praise God in song.
